With Keyword External Tool, the search engine market leader Google offers a very good and free way to search for keywords. The easy-to-use tool makes it possible to generate keyword lists with several hundred terms relatively quickly. It should also be noted that this tool is not only available for Adwords customers. Google offers these research options:
– Keyword search volume
– Estimates of the cost and position of advertisements
– Search volume trends
– density of employees
The Google tool has one disadvantage, however. Instead of actual values, only estimates are shown using bar charts, with which it is possible to weigh up whether term A tends to be searched for more often than google keyword database.
In the following example, the term “typo3” was searched for. The evaluation shows that the term has a respectable search volume with a very high density of competitors. In this respect, it would be possible to survive using the term “templates”, in which the search volume is lower, but the density of competitors is also more moderate.
